If the Internet is part of your daily life, then this plan is for you! Not only do you get a high-speed 3Mb DSL connection, but you get your own Internet domain name, electronic mail addresses custom to you, and advanced Web hosting. You can put up a photo gallery, share secure files, start a blog or two all with your own Internet domain name. Your electronic mail address will be something unique like firstname@whateveryouwant.com. Put it on your business cards and show the world that you are serious about the Internet.

This plan is all-inclusive. We register your domain name, setup Web space for you on our server, and supply you with a DSL modem/router/wirless access point unit. Alternatively, if you have your own server already setup at home, we will provide you with a static IP address instead of Web hosting.

Monthly payments are made through an pre-authorized credit card charge or automatic debit from your bank account for convenience and simplicity.

You must live in an area that has DSL availablity from the local phone company. Call 254-5115 during regular business hours to determine availability and to signup. It takes up to a week to provision your telephone line for DSL service, and the easy-to-install modem/router will be shipped to your home.

The following features are part of this plan.

• Domain Mailboxes You can access up to fifty mailboxes, with a 2000 MB total size limit, from a Web browser or from a mail reading program that supports POP mail retrieval. You can create a separate mailbox for everyone in your house, then then more!
• Domain Web Hosting and Electronic Mail Service or Static IP Address
  Our Premium Web Hosting plan, with additional programming extensions, is provided with this plan. We will setup and register your domain name (if available), and provision Web and electronic mail server space for you. You can store up to 2000 MB of data on the Web, and MySQL database facilties are included too!
  You can choose to run your own Web server at your home instead. In that case we will provide you with a static IP address for the supplied router, and you configure the Web and email with your server. We will still register your domain and provide domain name service (DNS) for you.
• Basic Anti-Spam and Anti-Virus Filters
  Incoming mail is filtered through a system to eliminate the worst Spam and e-mail viruses. You can also manually block out senders or entire sites through the OpenWebmail interface. These filters cannot filter out all Spam and viruses.
• Domain Control Panels
  You adminster your Web server and electronic mailboxes yourself through Web-based control panels. You can add and remove electronic mail accouts, get Web statistics and setup your Web server options and directory access permissions at any time.
• Modem/Switch/Router/Wireless Access Point Device
  This device acts as a DSL modem, 4-port Ethernet switch, NAT-based firewall unit, USB Printer hub and 802.11g wireless access point. This allows you to connect up to four computers by wire, and cover your house with wireless networking.
• Usenet News Feed
  You can read articles from thousands of Usenet news groups.

Options:

The following options can be provisioned separately to make your connection more powerful.

• $99.95 additional: On-site installation. A technician will visit your house and install the router/modem and connect up your computer.
• Monthly bandwidth usage of over 50 GB in a month will be charged at $4.99 per 5 GB.
• $5.95/month additional: Extra 100 MB of disk space for your Mailboxes and/or Web site files.
• $149.99/year additional: Creation and registration of an SSL (Secure Socket Layer) certificate for your Web site. This allows you to easily encrypt transmissions going in and out of your Web site so that you can handle sensitive information over the Internet with more protection.

Some additional things to consider

• Dialup telephone number(s) for a regular modem connectivity will be provided on request.
• The network services are monitored 24/7, but technical support on this plan is only provided during regular business hours.
• The quality of service from your house to our network centre is dependent upon the quality of your telephone line and equipment. Also, the distance from your home to the CO (central office) may have a role in the connection quality.
• No special software is necessary on your computer. Internet and Ethernet facilities are provided as part of the Apple MacOS or Microsoft Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000 and XP operating system. You may require the original installation disk if you need to install or re-install the networking components.
• Govital does not provide technical support beyond assistance with setting up your network connection, Web browser or standard electronic mail program (e.g. Microsoft Outlook Express).
• This plan does not include programming support or design services. We will only help you configure your Web site and electronic mailboxes. For extra support, consider our consulting services.
